Community publishing policy
Registered members can contribute articles about senior centers, healthy aging, activities, caregiving, nutrition, technology, and community services.
One other person must validate every article
Authors save a draft and submit it to the review queue. One other registered member who signs in with a password and an email code must read and validate the current version before publication. Authors cannot validate their own articles, including articles written by administrators. Use one account per person; never create another account to approve your own work.
Reviewers check relevance, factual support, source links, privacy, and the standards below. They may validate, skip, or flag a concern. Only an administrator can decline an article or remove a published article through moderation. A member's report does not automatically remove an article.
Edits are saved as a separate working revision. The last validated version stays public until another member validates the replacement. An admin can decline or remove the article immediately, including its public version. The author receives the administrator's reason when an article is declined and can revise it.
Writing standards
- Write original, useful, respectful material relevant to older adults and senior centers.
- Cite reliable sources for factual claims. Health, caregiving, and nutrition articles require a source link. Avoid unsupported treatment claims and personal medical advice.
- Have permission for material you contribute. Do not copy entire articles or share private health, contact, or financial information about others.
- Disclose commercial relationships. No deceptive promotions, scams, harassment, or undisclosed sponsored content.
- Keep dates, locations, and program details current; link to official sources.
Community validation is not a clinical review, professional credential, or guarantee of accuracy. Authors and validators are identified by their public display names.
